Scholarship

SENYWWC  sponsors an annual scholarship to promote interest in water related careers among high school students. 

2026 SENYWWC COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

Given in memory of past active board members Don Gay and James Heiser

 

Our Organization

The Southeastern New York Water Works Conference is made up of water and wastewater plant operators from central New York. Our members come from Broome, Chenango, Delaware, Otsego, Schoharie, Green and surrounding counties. We are a not-for-profit organization with a volunteer board of directors.

 

SENYWWC is pleased to offer a $1,000 college scholarship awarded to a high school senior pursuing a degree in an environmental field related to our industry.

 

Applicant Qualifications:

 

Must be a graduating high school senior

Must be attending college in the fall of 2026

 

Application Procedure:

 

Provide the following biographical information:

  1. Name

  2. Mailing Address

  3. Email Address

  4. Phone

  5. High School

  6. High School Guidance Office contact (name, email and/or phone)

  7. Extra Curricular Activities and Community Involvement

  8. College Plans

  9. Essay (250 words or less) on your career goals in the water supply, wastewater treatment or a related environmental field.

Applications must be received by May 31, 2026.        Submit yours today!
